Misfire again

car was running fabulous for a while then misfire at idle bad. Running rich as well. (Had orig. Brown tops redone and installed.) pulled the plugs to have a looksee, severe carbon on threads of plug #2 and fuel smell, some carbon on #3 and fuel smell. 1&4 ok. Plug from cyl #2 in pic. Any ideas for a cause? Valve issue maybe?
