I love the way the SVO's looks, however, I have always thought that the rear bumper are lacked definition. I found this on Ebay, a Cervini part that is a replica of the original Saleen rear lower valance. Looks like:

I think, combined with the side spats, this would round off the rear of the SVO nicely. I was also thinking about the 1993 Cobra rear bumper cover, but am afraid it may be a bit bulky. I cannot find any pics of it anywhere. I do know of someone who is selling an original one who lives not too far away. As for the Cervini / Saleen cover, that is a bit more difficult to find used.

Anyone done this swap or have pics of it swapped out, Cobra or Saleen?

Do you have dual exhaust to fill the holes on each side, and if you do will the tips be in the right places to come out thru the provided holes??
I agree with you anyway about that bumper looking good on an SVO rear end.

Yes on the dual exhaust. I just think that the back of the SVO's look naked down low, you know?

the one problem I see with that rear cover is that the bumper strip in the middle of the cover that usually gets painted black does not match the style of the SVO front cover bumper strip.....

Here is a pic of a 93 Cobra for ya. Either one would likely look good, as long as you don't have a big issue with the bumper strip not matching. If you did go with a body color, it could possibly blend in a bit better, depending on the color of the car.

I have done this on pre-Aero Mustangs. I have a friend with a Mustang and a Capri with this "Saleen" and it looks fine because the lower valance sticks to the bumper BELOW the center section...

The corners of the earlier bumpers are sharper than the Aero bumpers, but the valence is pliable enough mold and conform.

I'll try to find some pics.

Or you could do the saleen rear spats that came on early cars.

I think it would look better with the whole rear bumper cover rather than just rear spats. Just my opinion though.
