Clutch Quadrant Questions

On my SVO, the clutch releases just off the floor. The previous owner indicated that he had planned on replacing the clutch cable and had the parts to to the work, which came with car. Part of the spares included a new UPR 3 hook quadrant with firewall adjuster. Also included is a new Motorcraft stock clutch adjuster ass'y. I'm not sure which I should go with. With the UPR, which of the 3 hooks does one go with? Will the stock cable need to be modified to accept the UPR firewall adjuster? I know I can make the stock adjuster work, just don't know what the pros & cons of the UPR unit would be.

The stock one is plastic. Is the other one metal? Either way the dash will have to come out and you'll be laying on your back working in there. Good luck

The dash doesn't have to come out. Removing the driver's seat and dropping the steering column will give you enough room to work under there. If you are keeping a stock clutch setup, I would recommend keeping the stock self-adjusting quadrant setup. A lot of your pedal effort may be due to a worn bearing retainer tube causing excessive drag on the throw out bearing, so the UPR setup won't help that in any way. Just my $0.02.
