It's welcome here Rodster. Let's just keep the quantity of red cars to a minimum ;-)

I was afraid Mike might go into RED overload. :D

Nice looking pair! 83 TC is seldom seen nowadays

One day some year I will take same kind of pic of my two black 2,3T cars. Should just get frame rails of Tbird fixed first. And oh yeah maybe should drag my parts car TC to same pic since it's RED! Seems to be mandatory here ;)

Rodster, I liked your pic of the SVO & TC together a lot & decided since you didn't get banned I would post a pic of three TCs with our 84/1C.
Here is a simple quiz.
There are 4 turbo 2.3 Fords (mostly under wraps) in this pic can you guess which one is the SVO?

Nah, they let me put pictures of my 'other' TFs in my album here. Although maybe because they were RED???

That is a nice collection of red turbos…..You need to redden up that Thunderbird though to make it unanimous!

Thanks, working on getting them back on the road so I can enjoy driving them instead of enjoy working on them!
The SVO license plate are getting harder to find but still out there. ~$20. I have a NOS version w/ the blue background.

What do I win, one of the other TC's? Unveil them! ;)

My TC is red/tan leather. Have never seen another one like it. They usually seem to be red/red, red/gray. I think Marti reports are available, I should get one. While checking out parts at a dealership that was going out of business, I struck up a conversation with a gentleman who proceeded to tell me he has a 83 Thunderbird for sale..... one thing leads to another and I bought it. What else could I do! :D

Funny how that happens...I have the same 'problem', they seem to follow me home.
My wife has officially banned me from visiting NY (three of my TFs are from there). She said "no more, everytime you go to NY you bring a car home!"

Yea, I think I'm out of free passes from my wife for bringing projects home too. Now if it's a car we can jump in, drive and enjoy, she says she's OK with that! Hmmm sounds like a trick...

Thanks Joe.

I'm going to have to conjure up the Jturbo spirit to get moving :runningdog: and get them on the road!

Too many distractions but I'm getting closer. The TC was suppose to be a quick refresh (smoker car and everything was coated in soot) until I pulled the carpet and found some softness in the floor. That and working out of state halted the project.

Figure while I'm refreshing the SVO, the TC can benefit from it since they are cousins. The TC just isn't as intercooled. :D

Good thing they all stopped there. Another ten feet and you'd be replacing a bunch of front fenders & headlights.

I accept the congradulashuns :)

Very nice collection!!! I like the 87/88 TC's a lot too and have one on my wish list. Had a high mileage one for a little while and was amazed how well it drove.

It will be interesting to see the facts and figures on the Marti reports, I really should order them.

I don't know what you consider high mileage, but the black one in the pic shows a little over 221,000 on the dial. It is still running great, and has made more than a few turbo ricer & 5.0 GT drivers mutter "What The….…….", as they watch it pass by while they frantically shift gears to catch up.

Not everything that follows me home is RED! But then again I don't own it anymore. ;)

Wow looks great for 221,000. My 88 TC had 169,xxx miles but drove like new. Another friend had a high mileage 87/88 and said the same thing. My 83 TBird w/ 130,000 miles rides good but don't think the ride is quite as good as the 88. All I know is the first time I took a test drive down the road I was very surprised.
