Flushed the coolant on my 83 5.0 Tbird today. Found the TStat was stuck open which made for an easy flush but compared to removing two bolts on the SVO to get to the TStat, there were a lot more steps on the 5.0. :( I do have to thank the car gods for not having to deal with a broken bolt!
The bolts are now enjoying a well deserved soaking in a hot tub of Evaporust.
