I have a White SVO that has some touch up done to it.
I have a post on parts wanted for the Gray trim that is missing in certain areas but I have noticed that most of the white cars I see have Black trim on the front bumper covers as is the spoilers.

How do I determine what is the appropriate finishes for this car?
Mopars have a fender tag that shows all of the options, where is this on a Ford Mustang?
I also could use some tips on refurbishing the wheels.
I was going to powder coat them black because the original finish is dull and oxidized in a few spots.
Any help would be appreciated.

The search function will get you most answers with some practice. I sold my 74 Dartsport 360 to buy my SVO. It was a wise choice indeed!

SEM 39153 is the correct color for 85-86 svo trim. You can get it at you local paint store in a spray can. If you want to use a gun I am sure they can mix you some up.

Sounds like you are very new to the world of SVO... congratulations!

I suggest, as others have stated, that you begin doing a little research on these cars. Very few options, but there are some differences between the three model years. One of which is the correct color of the exterior trim. Kendal gave you the correct color in his response, now you need to study which areas receive this color; window trim, mirrors, exterior body moldings, rear spoiler, etc.

As for the wheels, there are many companies out there that "refinish" wheels and are capable of recreating the original finish. I would start with ones that are in your area (to save on shipping cost). The one I have used in the past is Metro Wheels in Atlanta, GA. They have a website you can check out.

Good luck with your project!

I'm not trying to be lazy about it but I figure with the rarity of these cars it would be easier to ask my questions on a site such as this.
Thank you for the trim color, I take it the double spoiler also gets the gray trim color.
Are the side moldings and front moldings on the bumper cove suppose to be black?

The rear bi-wing, side moldings, and bumper trim should be grey for '85-86. The bi-wing has a slight "texture" to it as well.

You also need to look at your door handles and cowl. The handles should be semi-gloss black and the cowl should be grey,
