My SVO was a basket case when I got it 4 weeks ago and now for the fist time since 1992 shes back on the road.
Im impressed, for a 4 cylinder car shes pretty quick!
Thanks to all of the input I received from everyone here at SVOCOP and SVOCA the car is back on the road.
Thanks guys for all of the support and information.

Next project, make it faster!! Miner stuff like ecu, injectors and 3" exhaust.
Here is a drive by, I had the wife drive it.

Drove her to work today, 50 miles one way.
Car ran great.
Changed out the heater core last night, that was a good time.
Im pretty mechanicaly inclined and it took around 3 hours.

Sounds like you got things figured out now! 3 hours for a heater core is a great time, I think 'book time' in most shops is 8 hours for our cars, so you certainly tore through it in quick order.

I cheated!
I used the information available on SVOCOP!
Thats why the car went from 12 boxes of parts and a rolling chassis to a fun ride in about 5 weeks!
She has great manners for a car that has not seen the road since 1992!
It helped that the original owner had all that work done to the car and just let her set.
The car handles and drives like new!!

Good work! Yeah the heater core is only easy if you have a non A/C car.

Oh so true, 2 hose clamps and 6 screws to change out a non-A/C heater core = ~30 minutes including burping the coolant.

Nice car, sounds sweet. I did my heater core awhile back. I've done several in different cars and trucks. The svo was the most difficult. Now that I've learned that they build cars around the heater core I'll never change one again. I'll buy a new car!
