I have a strange request to put out there for you guys.
I need someone that has a Ford Motorsport catalog from around 1983 or 1984. I need a couple part numbers to take to a Ford dealer to check and see if there are any laying around on somebodys shelves.
I am looking for the flared fenders and quarters that were available back then.
I can buy them now, but if I find them thru Ford they may be a lot cheaper.
Any help would be great.
Thanks

I have a 1987 Motorsport Catalog (where most everything performance is "SVO"), there is a Mustang Fender Flare Kit noted, M-50000-A61, see scan below.
It was an interesting read! I picked up this catalog when I was rebuilding my '66 back in 1987 (long before my SVO days).

Thanks Dave, that's exactly what I was looking for. It says they are made to fit a 15x8 wheel, but I am betting I can squeeze a wider wheel than that under them. I am thinking about putting them on my '88 t-top car.
I guess I'll see how lucky I can get now.

I have most of those catalogs form 1973-1995, and a few scattered years 1996+. The really early ones were 3-ring binder types.

Or you could just buy a set from here:

I wonder who made the FMS kit (i.e.- JBA, Maier, etc)?? The Mustang Depot kits are Maier kits, look good and offer up a 1.5" or 3" flare. A 3" flare could allow up to a 315 to fit fairly comfortably in back based on a quick calculation.

I found the original supplier. Preform Resources. $850 for two front fenders and two 1/4s.
I am just curious (and cheap) to see if there are any of the originals still available and if they would be cheaper.
The only problem may be the condition of the fiberglass.

Good luck on your search. The Preform price is certainly better than the Mustang Depot price of $1100 for the set. If you get a set of originals shipped, make sure they are insured properly.
