Along with some much-needed normal maintenance, fluids, etc. Trying to take enough pics to do an article on cam swaps and setting cam angles so progress is slow.

Oh Goodie!

Back to the stump puller cam?

^ Yep.

First trial was finding where I stashed the lash caps. Of course they were found with the lash adjusters, but who knew (remembered)?

Remembering where things are kept has been a major part of being productive.

Got it all done. Changed all fluids (including petrol) and drive it around a bit. Tyres are old and hard enough where using WOT/boost in 3rd takes two lanes.

Need new [sticky] tyres. It just never ends.

Burn them down, then buy some new ones.

Take pictures.

Burn them down, then buy some new ones. If I had cheap or stock rims installed, no problem. But if one of the tyres fails, and then damages any of my 13.5Lb forged wheels - made of unobtainium since the mfgr discontinued these wheels about 6 years back - creates other more expensive issues.

I will need to find a place to unmount/mount tyres without damaging these rims. And THAT may be the more difficult task here.

Take pictures. Don't I always?

hehehe

OK when I picked up my head, my mechanic told me it was good I didn't have more lift on my cam. Because of where the grooves for the retainers were on the valves it limited my lift. He said if I wanted to go with more lift I could use different valves. Now the Engle cam I just installed is a great street SVO cam.

Or alternately install lash caps on tops of the valve stems to make them longer and give more clearance between the rocker arm body and the retainers.
