Has anyone read the new article in the March 2015 issue of Muscle Mustang & Fast Fords magazine about a 1986 SVO with a Focus ST engine swap? First of all it is a clean engine swap and I am sure that it took the person a lot of time and money to perform the swap but... They painted the car Gotta Have It Green. Which is a personal choice I guess but they painted all of the moldings green as well. I mean every single thing on the car is green. Anyway, I guess that is a personal choice also. The reason I am writing about the article is the author's lack of knowledge on the SVO. He works for one of the biggest Mustang magazine's published and he makes mistakes in his article. I know I am probably being picky but still. He wrote in the article that the 1986 was "the last-hurrah and had 205 hp". Also he writes a description about the exterior and states "the car's exterior is stock except for custom rear moldings derived from '83-'84 quarter-panel moldings". In the photo's it is the stock moldings that are factory correct for the SVO which are in no way "custom". Anyway, it is a interesting car and a twist on the every day modifications. I just wish the article had been written more accurately.

How about the inaccuracies on the Ford 50th timeline poster? 84 SVO in the 86 slot but at least 2 SVO's shown.

The Mustang SVO, like most SVO Owners, is still misunderstood, and mostly feared by the unfamiliar. Even it's parents have denied it more than once.

Such is our lot in life.

BTW - Im not surprised that a car rag writer got stuff wrong. It's what they do professionally.
