Is there a break-in period after rebuilding an Holset He341/He351cw?

I rebuilt my Holset He341 using a good rebuild kit that I purchased from, you guessed it, eBay. I made sure it was a complete kit, and from a reputable source. This kit included bearings, snap-rings, seals, the works! The rebuild was VERY easy, the hardest part being getting the snap-rings (small ones) in and out.

The rebuild went well, and I just put it back on my 85 SVO (using a Beanman header). Seeing how everything this is new, including the turbine housing (original was horribly rusted), and turbine wheel (due to wear on the original), how should I go about breaking this in? I don't want to screw it up. Also, is it normal for the turbo to burn a little oil as the new seals seat? If so, how long does it typically take before it stops smoking? Any other recommendations?

One or two heat cycles and you shouldn't have any more smoke. As for a breakin period, I don't recall seeing any. But I would keep an eye on it, possibly change the oil early and look for particles in the oil and filter.
