1984 vinyl headliner

I am looking for the correct vinyl for the headliner in a '84. So far my search has been for naught.

SMS auto fabrics has them for $49 a yard, only problem is they don't have foam on the back. They said they could put it on at extra cost. They sent me a sample . info@smsautofabrics.com

The last time I checked with them it was $59 per yard. Maybe that was with the foam though. How long ago did you get your sample? Are there reference numbers with it? I need to order and you could shortcut several weeks off my time here. It usually takes them about a month to send out a sample.

I got my sample in about a week. It has been about 2 weeks ago. It just said 84 svo charcoal headliner material.

I contacted them so we'll see what happens.
I found an old forum on foureyed pride that said sms sent a sample and it was tier grain that they repressed somehow.

I got my sample yesterday in the mail, and it is $49 yard. That is without foam by the looks of it. Now I can finish the interior.

Is the sample a close match to the original? Maybe you can post a picture?

The material is heavier and thicker than the original.

Rodster, it is a perfect match. I don't have an original sample to go against on the thickness of it like Kendal is saying.
The grain is a perfect match and that is all I' m concerned with.
