Well the svo is finished (will. E updating build thread, have been busy moving and starting a new job) just need to dining tuning the pi.m.p . I currently am running a home port iron head with a rr (-4 deg) since the cam was already in the car when I bought it. The bottom end is built, and I am now looking to save up and get a head and cam. I was planning on going with bo for a cam and head, but it looks like his site is down and I don't want to gamble on how long it would take him to get all of his current orders processed. Plus he is no longer Taking orders per his Web site. So.... I guess I'll have to settle for a d port alum. Head and maybe a 2277 cam. Essy has not replied to my email asking how much their heads are. So can anyone shine some light on that? How much, and do they sell bare and assembled heads?

Do a search on the turbo ford site their was a tread not to long ago with pricing for the dport along with specs for some of their newer turbo grind camshafts .The dport comes bare , assembled, hand ported and cnc ported . Their is also a esslinger rep that is a regular on the TF site .You could always just call them and speak with Brian .You won't be disappointed in settling for the esslinger stuff.

I have a D Port. Any particular reason you are looking for one? As far as the cams go, what are you going to do with the car?
Talk to Brian for 2.3 stuff at Esslinger.

Looking for a d port because I was going to buy a boport ported iron head and cam but with the "whose waiting on boport items" threads on tf, and with his site being closed to catch up with orders, I am starting to think it's not worth waiting on. Which disappoints me especially because it seems many believe bo makes a superior product. But then again, I have del with esslinger on my main straps and other parts and they have been great customer service wise, and I have been happy with my products. The car is not a dd, looking for about 400 or so to the wheels, need to get a real cam and would like a head (mine is a home port from the previous owner) mostly using the car to go to mcgkc shows and local meets, track in topeka, and some street use obviously.
Here is the list of what's done
Studded strap main
Stock crank
Crower rods
Head studs
Stock pistons
Adj. For
Walbro 255
Stinger pi.m.p
3"dp
3" mid
Fmic
Gillis valve
Home port head
Ranger roller (boo)
Race eng round tooth conv. And adj cam gear
Has brown tops now
Stock turbo
Probably missing some things
Car is running but still need to swing by stingers place so we can fine tune.
Long term goal will be 400 or so to the wheels.
Short term goal is to finish breaking it in, fine tune it, and aquire a ps bracket from mike.

If you are just wanting 400 hp, you can do that without the aluminum. If you like Bo's cams call up Schneider Cams and tell them what you are looking for. Bo's 2.1 grind is nice for that hp. If you want some porting I would start with Killians orTim Ottinger. Get the exhaust manifold ported too. What are you doing for a turbo?

Haven't really looked into turbos yet, since I have just finished the engine and got it running. Any advice will be welcome

The T3/T4 50E will get you to 400. The BW turbos are very good also.

You will definitely need larger injectors than the brownies.

Yeah, just running the brown tops for now. Just trying to figure out the head and cam. I will contact schneider this week and report back. Knew I forgot something in my current mod list, ported e6 and ported/gutted intake.
