1983 SVO with 5.0 !!!

We all know this must be true because I read it on the interweb...lol ;)

Ford must have made an '83 SVO with a 5.0, I found the tranny tag number for one on a well known T-5 swap site.

There were "Made in Mexico" SVO's with a 5.0, I'm not sure of what model years they were made. No relationship to a real SVO, besides being a Fox body and sharing those 3 letters.

AFAICT Ford NEVER installed a 4.0x first-gear ratio gear set onto a 5.0L.

As Jim points out, there were "SVO"-tagged cars made in Mexico in that era. 5.0L, carb'd, non-TFI-ignition, etc.
