Because it seems as though a few of you (Bob, Mike ETC) seem to like your F1, and have talked about coming to Austin to check out CoTA I found a video with a different perspective on the track/facilities.

This was shot last weekend while Lonestar Racing Academy (Harris Hill Road biased driving group) rented the track to run an event, this video gives you a new understanding what the track actually looks like:

......... AND because CoTA has made some very poor decisions about sanctioned races that will, or will not show here (V8 Super Cars/PWC), more of the track days, and smaller grass root venues (SVRA, CVAR, PCA, and such) are what are actually what's bringing in the dollars to support the track staying open.
With this being said, if you so desire, this means that you can find a certain track venue and run the track yourself.
Point in case, being a driving instructor allows you perks to be able to run this track for almost nothing.
