Today, NASA released this astonishing image of Pluto acquired yesterday,
as it headed towards closest approach:

This is truly one of the most historical images every acquired
by humanity. And I’m proud to say that our man Tod Lauer is part
of the image processing team that produced this image from
the raw data.
