Well, it would be nice if they actually drove it hard through the corner. I can get the dually diesel F350 through the corner at that speed. I'm still a skeptic, but I'm glad its on track and soon (I hope!) we'll find out if it really works.

Well, thanks to Nissan, it's Le Mans debut is over. It got very little coverage (on the world feed according to Speed) in the race.

And, on a personal note, it's gawd-awful funny looking.

Next time, they should try a front wheel drive version and call it a Pulsar.

Well, Toyota knocked it out of the race. Can't say I'm sorry to see it gone. Bunch of vaporware as far as I'm concerned.

Unfortunately, we lost the only possible challenge to the Audi juggernaut. The Toyota has been in and out of the pits since the incident.

Pity - the Toyota team has made a few obvious "inexperienced new team/new car" errors. They may also have some technical issues that may cost them their race but are being tight-lipped with the media (Speed at least).

Pity - they made a really nice start and things appeared to be going very nicely until the pit stops started. That's where the [lack of] experience really comes into play.

Is there irony in the fact that the P4, P5 cars are Lolas (a firm that is in receivership, and will likely never build another racecar) using Toyota engines?

I happen to like Lola cars, at least the earlier ones. At the time (70's) they made the best customer FF chassis available and have a very successful racing history.

Companies having money issues, generally, is not at all related to their products. Take our "friends" at GM for example...

I'm a great fan of Lola, it's very sad to see them in the shape they are currently in.

I still find it strange to see JP Lotus livery on a car that isn't a Lotus chassis. Bothers the hell out of me.

Wasn't Lotus also in the same condition as Lola just a few short years back?

Lotus is now just a marketing name. It should mean more than that.
