View Full Version : A/C Recirculation door Vacuum Motor

Hello,

Looking for the A/C recirculation door vacuum motor. Any leads on what it is called or what might be persuaded to work?

I could, perhaps, use the vacuum hose harness if that is available, but I figure I can just rebuild with regular hoses in any case.

Give me a better time idea of exactly what you are looking for. I have a 2 totaled cars here that may have what you are looking for.

I'm rebuilding the A/C system almost from scratch.

So I'm working on the vacuum system at the moment. There is a vacuum actuator on the bottom right of the HVAC (staring at it from the passenger seat) which opens the door to allow inside air to recirculate and is turned on when you put it on MAX A/C. You can see it from the front if you take off the glove compartment door. Its a metal can with a straw at the top that the vacuum attaches to. (Just trying to be descriptive).

The whole set of vacuum hoses, with the harnesses that the hoses plug into and go through, would also be helpful.

There should also be a vacuum canister, a black(?) metal can with a straw that is attached to the firewall somewhere. I have no idea what it looks like, I only know it is described in the vacuum diagram.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have the vacuum ball and line from the fender. I think I have the under dash stuff too.

I looked and I have a complete HVAC box.

Thanks, I have the big box. The only trick is the bottom hole doesn't line up with the hole in the firewall, but not worried about it.

Would you be able to check and see if the vacuum actuators are all good and if I can have them? If not no worries, I can always wait for another 80's mustang to show up in the junkyard, but they are getting kind of rare.
