So I've been working on my 84 SVO off and on ever since I parked it to rebuild the turbo about five years ago. It sat for a while while i was in school and didn't have time to spend working on it. I've done some modifications like 3" elbow, bigger injectors, boblog header, FMIC, aluminum 2 row Explorer radiator, to name a few but nothing to serious except for one major upgrade....the wiring harness. I purchased a 2.3L Ron Francis Harness to replace the nastiness I had before it. My problem is there are so many connectors on this harness that weren't on my original that I either don't recognize or just don't have a place for or both. I know the Ron Francis harness was designed to accommodate all the extra electrical stuff on the turbo coupes so i know there are going to be connectors that I cant use. Also the harness is designed for use with an LA3 computer and i was planning on using my PE so curious if that will be a problem. In addition to the Electrical issue I've pulled so many components of to either fix or replace i'm struggling to figure out what I have left to do before I can turn the engine over again. My goal is to get the car running before the end of the month so that I can avoid the hassle of towing it to my new residence. I believe I have all the necessary components to get it running but cant quite put all the pieces together. So I guess i'm asking for some guidance as to how I can get my car back on the road and what I need to check for. I know this is a pretty vague question but i'm having trouble finding a place to start. Thank in advance for the help.

3 wires need to be moved in the ecu connector. This write up is to go to an LA3 so do it in reverse.

Vane air temperature: Locate wire 43, white wire with a black stripe and move it into pin slot 27

Vane Air Flow sensor: Locate wire 25, light green wire with a purple stripe, and move it to pin slot 43

Octane Switch: Locate wire 30, yellow with red stripe, and move to pin #24

Boost controller (BCS): Locate wire 32, Purple, and move to pin #31
In the case of 84 SVO's you will need to disconnect the boost control module under the hood - not the solenoid - but the box it plugs into it a little lower on the passenger side fender. The PE's and LA3 ECU's have this control system built right in.

Here are some pics I could snap before work

This is EGR however I am not running EGR.

This connector says alternator and directions explain this to be the exciter wire which turns the alternator on when the key is on.

Another pic of alternator connector.

Vehicle Speed Sensor. Should be located between transmission and speedometer cable but I cannot locate.

These are ACT and knock sensor.

There is a knock sensor on the back of the lower intake. The Air charge temp was on later model turbo coupes with an LA3 not our cars. The vss would be for cruise or mileage calculation displays again not on our cars. The exciter wire is for a 3G alt. you don't have stock.
