So, I'm installing the new Innovate SCG-1 wideband with boost control on the Trash car and the shop asks me what the stock wastage actuator spring pressure is...who knows??? Please Help! Thanks!

Auto correct keeps changing the word. I'm looking for waste gate spring pressure. Thanks!

I'm hearing everything from 8 to 12 psi. When I look at Turbosmart's replacement waste gate actuators, the choices are 7 psi for stock applications and 10 psi for modified and tuned applications, so there's not a lot of variance number-wise between a stock application and a modified or "tuned" application. So what is the actual number?

The factory T3 actuator is set to 10.0 PSIG. The defined way to measure that:
Install a dial indicator to measure wastegate actuator rod travel (see page 30). Very slowly apply pressure until the dial indicator shows 0.015 inch linear displacement. Pressure should be 10 ± 0.5 psi. If pressure is not as specified, check wastegate activating diaphragm. If wastegate actuator arm stays closed, replace diaphragm.

Put it in regular mode. Take it for a test drive and stomp on it in 3rd gear then watch gauge. Disregard the peak and look for steady state. There you have it.
