Tonneau cover preferance

I am thinking of buying a tonneau cover for my 07 F150. Any pros or cons as to the roll up vs fold top? Thanks in advance Bruce

I have a roll up. When rolled up, you have complete access to the full bed. If you don't have to haul stuff in the bed where full clearance is required, then the fold tops over a little more security.

I have had 2 rollup soft Access Covers and been very happy there are tensioners to tighten if they stretch over time make sure to do this or they will flap in the wind, also pull the sides down onto the Velcro to keep taught. My first one lasted 14 years and was just like new when I traded the vehicle the new one is 3.5 yrs old and also like new. A heavy wet snow could be a bad deal with these but mine is kept in the garage or in a ramp for the most part, it has held quite a snow load before I have had a chance to take a broom to it.

I have a BAKflip VP https://bakflip.com/bakflip-vp-tonneau-cover.html. It is the second bed cover I've owned. The BAKflip is pricey, but once closed is locked via the tailgate being up and locked. If out and you purchase something that won't fit with the cover closed, you can open it and secure it in the up position and use the bed as if no cover was installed. I've had this cover now for 3 years with no problems.

I had a folding hard cover on my old F-150. It was more secure but had to be removed for larger items to use the full bed length.

That's why I went with the roll up because I can keep it on and carry larger items. Thanks for all the reply's, Bruce
