'99 axles

I was wondering if '99-'04 axles are compatible with SVOs when used in a fox body axle housing. I think the axle length is similar to the SVO length, and I'm not sure how much of a difference the exact length makes. You can also get aftermarket '99+ axles with 31 spines, which comes in handy when looking at aftermarket differentials.

99-04 axles are the same length as the SVO.

Wouldn't they be 1/4" longer per side? I thought that SVO was 1-1/4" per side longer than standard Fox Mustang, 94-98 Mustang was 3/4" longer than Fox, and 99-04 was 3/4" longer again.

I've seen so much conflicting info on axle lengths and housings that I might just stick to a known combo of a Fox 8.8 housing with SVO axles. I see you can get a 28 spline Torsen, so I'm not so concerned about going to 31 spline anymore.
