I just thought I would post this for future reference.
It only applies to N/A setups, but it might be useful down the road.
Using a C1A1 computer in a 91 mustang we took a stock motor with a Boport head, 1.9 cam, slightly ported intake and ranger header to the dyno.... Result was 123 whp and 120 ft lbs of trq. Wheel numbers
Changes included a 2.5 crank, and A237 cam. Everything else being the same. The motor netted 136whp at 5500 rpm and 152ft lbs trq at 4200... Trq curve started at 130ft lbs (2500 rpm) and never went below 130 all the way to 6k.
Next we will be working on drastically increasing the intake and exhaust flow as I believe this is our biggest restriction. We are using a later mustang intake, not a square one from a SVO. The ranger header also have a drastic reduction in size at the collector, down to 1.8". We plan on cutting that off and installing a 2.5" V band clamp.
I'll get the dyno chart posted up one of these days but the trq curve is real nice. The car performed flawlessly for 18 hours. We broke the engine in on the dyno with 20+ pulls lol. Gotta say , these are damn tough motors.
