Hey guys,

I was reading a post on a classic mustang site where the discussion of our rear calipers came into play and how to identify when you have messed up the caliper during the adjustment process.

Interesting I thought....how would I know? When the hand brake lever moves more than a 1/4 of a inch? When it doesn't "return" on it's own (no cable hooked up)?

Thanks,
Eric

It's next to impossible to mess them up with them still on the car. The adjusters can get out of range, but nothing breaks.

Most of the "damage" i see is ten year+ old brake fluid. Which isn't brake fluid anymore after the third year. And, usually, that can be solved with by a proper disassembly and cleaning.

Hi Mike,

How about when adjusting them off the car and also assessing the operation of the e-brake arm?

There's still not much to break.
