E6 Manifold

I have a curiosity about the E6 manifold. From what I read this was not used on the 2.3 until 1986 however I don't think they went on all 86 SVOs. I have an 86 SVO which was built on the very last day of production and it has an E6 on it. The car has well documented service history and was bone stock until I got it so I am 99% sure it was never changed. When did the E6 start going on the SVO? Was it partway through the 86 model year?

Not sure when they started to come with them. Mine was built in October of 85 if I remember correctly and had an E3.

It was a running production change during calendar year 1986. So no 1985 models have an E6, SOME 86 (mostly later engines) came with it and ALL 87+ came with it.
