I found a place on-line that sells touch-up aerosol paint(. Paintscratch.com). Has anyone used any of there products before ? I have some surface rust on the car I plan on addressing soon and can't afford a re-spray right now. Maybe there is something better out there as well, I don't know. Is the 2A paint single stage or is it a base clear product? The company says they can do many paints in single stage as well as base clear. There charts even specifically list the Ford factory paint codes such as 2A, 2R, etc... Just wondering if you guys have any advise for a temporary touch up until I can spring for paint. ( I know you will... 8-D )

Touching up rust will buy you nothing. You need to remove the surface rust, clean, prime & seal. That is the only way to buy yourself any time until you can afford to repaint.

I plan on taking care of the rust before painting, I have a few places where the surface rust needs to be addressed, around hatch glass, lower doors and under the hood. The rust will be removed and body filler applied along with some epoxy paint Ti cover the area to prevent more rust and then primer used to cover. I just want to get some body color or at least reasonably close paint to cover the repairs until I can get the whole car sprayed.

Still no answer to my question, is it single stage or base clear or does it matter.

Thank you very much Mr. Fleming and blueboss, I thought it looked like single stage as there was no clearcoat peeling or fading. I believe this. At has been resprayed at least once though or at least touched up.
