Another Addict
Time to introduce myself and give a little Mustang history.
My first Turbo Mustang was a 1979 Ghia that I purchased new. A little wimpy compared to the SVO, but it was a fun car. Wish I still had it, but the family got to big for the car. It is the Turbo whine that I became addicted to.
I currently have a 1984 SVO that I purchased in 2000 while living in Washington state as a running car, but in need of restoration. I drove it a few months, but when a new job opportunity came up in the Midwest, the car ended up parked. Since then I have moved to CA. At each move, I thought I would sell the SVO rather than drag it back and forth across the country. For some unknown, and maybe sick reason, I could not bring myself to part with it.
So, after being parked for 15 years, I made the decision that it is time to begin the restoration. My wife insisted that I finish a few other long lingering projects before I could get her blessing to begin this new project. Being driven to begin working on the SVO, these projects were finished in record time. I quickly got the car up on jack stands and got underway before my wife realized the she had a leverage and asigned other projects to me.
I will get some pictures of my project car and start a project thread in the next week or so.
As I work through this project, I will be seeking the advice of the very knowledgeable members of this forum.
I am looking forward to this project and participating and hopefully contributing to this forum.

Welcome! I know exactly how you feel. I hung on to my 84 SVO for years and it was parked for awhile too. I'm finally getting around to getting it back on the road and look forward to some seat-time once again!
