There's a retaining clip on the non-motor side of the shaft. After removing the retainer, all the ones I've touched fell off.
got retaining clip off
but fan is rusted to the shaft(remember I am in the rust belt)
I was hoping that it would have been easier but add another chapter to my life

The fan is white plastic, right? So only the shaft can be rusted.
Maybe soak it in naval jelly to "melt" the rust??
yes the fan is white plastic
got some PB Blaster to soak it in
will let it soak for a few days then try by luck
