I have mine up to 125 it was acting like it was not getting enough fuel, I changed the fuel filter but have not tried to go faster yet.
When I took my SVO to Road America/Elkhart Lake, I hit 130 twice per lap once per lap 135.
Yep - they vibrate a lot at that speed.
The PO of my car swears he's hit 140 when given enough road. 86 was stock at the time.
Out of curiosity, are you guys going by what the speedo was showing, or using the revs displayed and then figuring it out using the formula that includes gear ratio and tire size?
cheers
Ed
Speedo! No time to do math at those speeds! LOL
It was before the days of everyone taking video of their escapades, but I'm pretty sure I've had mine well past where the numbers end on my speedo. I'm talking 130-140 territory. That was back when I was younger and dumber, and before I had kids to come home to. Have only had it up to 100-110 on a road course since...
If I recall, the original USA SVOs has numbers going all the way up to 85, with markings going to 140 without numbers.
yeah up to 85 then lines 5mph up to 140. I remember seeing you running at RA. I had a passenger ride in a 84 and I remember him moving fast on the start finish straight and then under the bridge to the back then the carosel rollercoaster. You still have the video.
That's a great video, btw.
