this is how ive always done it. if the exhaust bolts are being pains in the arse, you can lift it out by wrapping a smaller chain around the manifold itself as well. likely not a ford approved way...

if you're still using the stock VAM, you should go with a bypass valve rather then a blowoff valve. single piston is fine; i use a bosch style single piston with stinger FMIC kit and it works just...

early 84 actually; all the 83 production run had slappers, phased out sometime in q1 84. my april 84 production had quads.
