BEAUTIFUL!!! Just perfect for mods! ;)
THANK YOU! That is pure baddassssery!
86 SVO just up and died on me.
The relay clicked, so I dropped the tank. Pump works fine. Replaced the relay, nothing. Jumped the inertia switch, nothing.

Seats, yes. Trim? I didn't see anything else that was from a GT.

LOLZ ;)
Yes! I had already read and bookmarked that thread! Thanks!
Excellent advice. Thanks guys. I already ordered the AV adapter from Yoshifab.
Thanks for the heads-up! Is there anything I should do with the rotating assembly, like balancing everything?
Thanks! I noticed they have a main stud kit too. I will get those, along with the head stud kit.
Yeah... I figured as much. I'm sticking with stock. Thanks!
Can I stroke it with just rods, or do I need a 2.5 crank?
I will update the A/C, but I don't think I'll need a serpentine set up. I only run A/C and the alternator.
Yes, I would love to do the PIMP right now... And it could be possible if I don't buy new pistons. ;)
I'm going to use a different short block that had a rebuild 12 years ago, and didn't have a...
No, the bores are stock.
I ran 260HP on the PE w/stock intake & throttle body @ 15PSI. It was lean then and the idle was super rich. I'm guessing that I'll need bigger injectors now too......
I need to rebuild an engine this winter. My stock daily-driver has low compression and too much blow-by. I have a couple of spare blocks and some go-fast goodies, so I’m asking for some advice before...
Absolutely fantastic!
Yes. Exhaust system checked and rechecked. NO visible or audible leaks... And no exhaust fumes when keeping out of the boost. I'm assuming at this point that it's escaping past the rings and seals....
Both valid concerns. I'm sure that if oil is blowing past my rings and seals that exhaust gases could be also. And I'm also sure that there's probably a few grommets missing from under my console. I...
Whenever my motor reaches boost, I smell exhaust. I can't hear an exhaust leak. I can't smell exhaust while the motor is idling. The more boost, the stronger the smell.
I don't remember this issue...
Ah... Good to know. I can fix that it. A P.O. put on a press-in, old-style PCV valve.
Even if I get the PCV worked out, given my compression test, I'm not sure I'll completely solve my problem.
...
I'm going to look at everything as I put it all back together with a better understanding of how it works. My cam cover has a working PCV attached to a small catch can, but I will double-check all of...
I pulled the separator off the block, and blew through it without any resistance. So, the backpressure I was getting before was just the cranckcase pressure. I'll clean things up and put it all back...
I'm chasing the ol' oil-out-the-dipstick fun. My compression is 90+psi cold, and I do not burn any oil... So I'm looking at the PCV system.
My cam cover has a working PCV valve connected to a...
Someone has two of them. Recasting the head isn't as difficult as sourcing the cams, bearings, lifters, gears, etc.
