We came into possession, around 5 years ago, a 1979 Mustang Ghia. The car has a 2.8l V6 engine with the Ghia trim interior package. It's also a console delete car. It was originally a Grey with red interior but previous owners had started to restore the car. The car is now blue, with a not very good paint job, with medium blue interior. Our plan is to keep the blue interior since the seats are brand new and look very nice, and paint the car blue again with black trim. Most of the rubber side moldings are in too bad of repair to try and save so we may just paint the trim black.
We have all new weather-stripping for the car and some extra parts that will be put on after the paint job.
The crappy aftermarket wheels and tires have been taken off for a set of 1987-88 Gt turbine wheels, and even snagged a 5th for a full size spare.
Looks like this project will start to really get off the ground here in the next few weeks so stay tuned for more to come.
I have been collecting parts for a while now, from a new complete front bumper cover all the way to a factory AM/FM/Cass deck and two sets of tail lamps, plus much much more.
