    LRS body to door weatherstrip

I bought the repro body to door weatherstrip from LRS. Nice easy install, however having issues now with driver door closing. Passenger side closes nice and loosened up a few days later. Driver side now very tight. check to make sure that all was in place looks ok but door seems to make contact with the rubber first by the side mirror. Anyone have experience and suggestions? It closed fine with the orig strip that was slightly torn.

Need to make sure the W/S is fully seated all along the pinch weld. Sometimes it gets hung up on the interior trim. Did you take all the plastic trim off before you installed it?

the weather strip needs to sit in the hot sun for a few weeks, with the doors closed, this will help compress the new weather strip.

A used one is most likely as shot as your old one. Double check fitment and if it's still a problem you may try adjusting the door striker on the B pillar. Mark it's original position with a fine point Sharpie so that as it beds in you can move the striker back to it's original position. HTH
