Well, I checked it over, filled it up with gas, did a "screwdriver transfer", and took it for a clandestine ride. The car runs great, now I can turn up the boost (set @ 17) and see if I can break something...lol

Went for another clandestine ride yesterday, now have the boost set @ 20psi. The car pulls hard and just "tickles" the overboost buzzer.
When I got home I decided to go through my inventory and found a nice T-3/T-4 50 trim that needs to go on along with a 3 1/2" DP.
I guess it's time to start thinking about how I'm going to tune this thing.

    Getting it ready for Carlisle.
Replaced the 'rag joint', fresh rebuilt front calipers and good flush of the whole brake system, no more sticky calipers.
New hatch struts and re-installed the rear seat, starting to look like a whole car again.
Thorough 'go over' of the mechanicals and I have it running great! Hopefully I won't break anything before the trip.

Now it's time to start replacing rusty body parts, I have good doors and a hatch to put on it. The rest of the body is in good shape but in dire need of a new coat of RED paint.

I don't know Chalky, I bought it from a TF member in Dec of '12. He and his brother auto-xed it for quite a few years and then it sat for ~3-4.
I'll have to shoot him an email and ask.

I got an answer from the PO:
It is not the Forced4 car, it was purchased from a guy near Englishtown, NJ.
The PO and his dad and brother are the ones who modded the car and auto-xed it.

I've been using the 2R as a daily driver for a couple of months now and it's been great.
I've started working on the replacement doors with some helpful tips from Joe.
After those I'll pull the hatch of my '86 5.0 parts car and get that ready to go.

It's going to be slow but sure Joe, I don't move quite as fast as I used to...
I probably won't be ready to squirt some RED paint on it until next year.
We need to plan another time to meet at Mark's, sorry I wasn't able to catch up with you guys last time.

Looks very close to one from J. Bittle in the early-mod 90's. That was repro'd by Pat_In_LA sometime during the mid to late 2000's. Sbould be a lower angle support on the right side, iitc.

Thanks Mike, now I know what PLA means...duh! I'll look for the brace tomorrow in the light of day...

I was thinking it wouldn't take much to fab. Fit the tubing, a couple of solid pieces drilled and tapped in the center then welded into the ends...done deal.

Unlike some strut tower braces, this one even looks pretty good.
