It was nice to get some publicity for the SOHC Ford.
Enough of that, it was giving me a headache.

Fun to watch. Especially with the baffle to better distribute airflow in the intake.....D

Not enough bang for the buck.
And theres a lot of bucks in that build.

The best part was 30 second disassemble of the engine.

I have heard about Esslinger's motors. Does he make any SVO specific stuff or is he just doing dirt track race motors?

I don't know if you would call this SVO specific but they make lots of engine parts we can use. Lets face it, good original cores are getting scarce.

Aluminum D-port (NASH - New Aluminum Street head in TF speak): http://www.esslingeracing.com/catalog/page08.pdf

Not necessarily when you consider it's basically a custom block which is probably far superior to a factory casting. Now if they made a tall deck version.......

    I believe they do Chris:
Available in Stock and 9" Deck Ht. Designed for Bores Std. to 3.940

I did the math, with their 3.850 stroker and that bore = 187.76 ci (3068 cc).

I stroked a 2300 to 2600 with their billet crank - with a few other billet parts, some major iron head work, and a big turbo - I got 380 RWHP and 466 RWTQ. If I paid the proper time into tuning that motor, I would have done even better. I learned that you can't just pay for power, you need to invest time into it too. As you can see - Dan does invest time.

They have great parts - but you need to be prepared to go racing...
