Holy David Hasselhoff, nice jacket and hair!
Thanks for the Nelson Ledges write up and video. Always good to see that and read about the beginnings again.
Funny - in the late 70's I had a Mustang II that came with a V-6 - a "pinto" Mustang as the NL article reads. I then got a 1979 Capri Turbo RS - Man was the handling of the Capri awesome! Way different from the "pinto" Mustang. I guess by the time I got an SVO, The handling it had when it came out, was nothing compared the cars available when I got my first SVO (around year 2000). So - I was never as impressed with the handling and manners that was so much talked about when the SVO first came out. My experience with the 1979 Capri RS was close enough to the SVO and head over heels difference from the previous platforms I guess.
I can tell you I stuffed a 289 V-8 in that Mustang II. While it had well in excess of 400 HP, it never came close to handling like a SVO or even the 1979 Capri. The handling was bad with the V-6 and a huge pig with the V-8.
Looking back, the inline 4 was a huge the reason for the great handling that was only emphasized by the well laid out 1979 & up platform...

Sweet commercial , someone needs to corral all the svo commercials into one trailer that would be a keeper, is there someone out there that could do that and put them on and lock them on forum to view now and in future?? Can't wait to take my car out to play!!

Rodster, I think I know someone that may have poster to replace the one that got ripped off.
