Post Sturgis Mustang Rally 2013 Accommodations

It’s time again, to begin preparations for SMR. I would like to return again to the same place we were in last year. Those that were there can attest to how much fun we had just at the house alone. We had a two car garage with a nice clean, cool & flat floor to work on. There was ample driveway space to park an additional 4 SVOs for simple maintenance & cleaning. It was just as affordable if not more so than staying in a hotel. The peaceful quite surroundings made it seem more homely than any hotel would have. Most of all, the wives gave it their approval.

Right now I am looking for a head count for who is going this year. The house can sleep 16, but I would rather not have more than 14. If there enough people planning on going, we can look into a second house or possibly a larger place. They have some that sleep up to 25, but they are further from Sturgis.

Things worked out great last year, but I will pass on being the taker of the money this year. The plan is to reserve the place & have the leasing agency bill each party individually. That means, everyone that is on the list will be directly billed in advance from the leasing agency, taking me out of the loop. Should we have people decide at the last minute to join in, if there is space, we will work out a plan for those folks to pay their share to each of the guests that paid in advance. Those coming in last minute would also have last pick on which bedroom they are in. Of course, this will have to be approved by all prepaying guests. Oh & Pat may require a bottle of Patron for the Margaritaville.

If you are planning on going & would like to be on the list for the rental house, please reply to this post with your headcount & number of vehicles you will be bringing (please include trailer count).

There are also hotels available for those that would prefer to go that route. A list of participating hotels can be found on the SMR website.

Mitch, Sounds like Mark needs that other house all to himself.

Cindy and I will be there. Will bring extra chairs for the fireworks show!

Like all the folks that were slapped in the face by the late model fox walked all over them.

Mark keeps digging his grave on this one. Who wants to pitch in to see this show?

BTW, I'm guessing you are towing again this year right?

Pat and Bonnie will likely attend. We will know more on plans before Knotts.

    Hey Mitch
I figured you knew I was kidding about attending (especially with Lisa) LOL !
Besides I don't think Cindy and Kelly want me in the kitchen again (or house for that matter) !

    Mark
P.S. BUT if I get thrown out of my house and "fly in" THE ELVIS ROOM is fine for me ! I don't need a bed.

You can't back out now Mark, not after your post above about buying a late model Shelby to bring to the event.
