    "They"? No. No one did. No market for it.

    And compared with engines of today, that Cosworth head on an iron block is a 30+ year old design.

    that seems to be what a lot of us are building, rotated intake, intercooler and Volvo head, and we think we are breaking new ground Where would we be indeed? we are just now getting to where that would have been!!

    If this engine had become a Merkur reality in 1987 or 88 this site might well have been called "XR4Ti COP".
    Or perhaps "slightly modified 16 valve SVO COP" LOL

    Someone has two of them. Recasting the head isn't as difficult as sourcing the cams, bearings, lifters, gears, etc.
