I have been following that turtle story since last Monday morning, it is sick and heart breaking, it's sad someone would do this to a mama turtle looking to lay eggs.
This comes from a Turtle owner and rescuer.

That was the pond in the back yard at moms beach house - two turtles and maybe 12 coy? Fun times.
Somewhere I have a picture of the pond toad too - he's a bit more shy than the turtles.
