I am looking to install an 8.8 rear end into my 1984 SVO. My plan is to use a Fox Body housing, swap over the factory rear brakes, and use SVO length Moser axles. Are there fitment issues that I am unaware of, or is that a solid plan?

You will need to re-bend (make a slightly larger radius) the cross-over hard brake line that goes from side-to-side. The large bend over the center hump will be close, but not right and the mount bracket on the hump section will not fit the 8.8.
That's it.

Stinger has a nice writeup on this. Check it out: http://www.stinger-performance.com/rearswap.html although the swap is on a fox with rear drums to disc it is a good general guideline for what you will need to swap your SVO to 8.8 I am planning on swapping soon too and was planning on doing a writeup on it.
