The car has sold. Just wish I didn't have to take such a wash on the sale. Wasn't what I had hoped for. I guess I should have never expected to get much out of it in the first place. It's not my problem anymore. Thank you everyone for looking, I hope the new owner does well with it on the track.

    Good one Mark! ;-)

We've already been building up our registry. Baby seats are not a good idea in a mustang. That's my opinion, I don't care what anyone else says.

Oh, you do realize the previous post was made on 4/1/14..

You (Mitch) may want to consider creating a "Stock Pics/Show Criteria" forum to save this in.

    Just a thought.

I second the idea of saving these pictures to a permanent reference thread.

I can look into that before anyone buys it.

Mitch, can I ask why you have decided to sell it and are you interested in any kind of trades?

So, I guess I need to respond here. Yes I have been trying to sell the car. Yes I was able to find a respectable buyer. The car will now be living in ST George, UT. The SVO will have a few respectable roommates. It will be in good company with a highly modified 03 Cobra (685 RWHP + 175 shot), an unrestored very clean 120K mile 88 GT that is as clean as it was when it left the showroom floor, & an all original 73 F350 Super Camper special wearing the original paint.

I suspect the new owner will be joining us here soon. But before I could sign the car over, I received a notification from Ford & MCA that my car was chosen to be used in the static display at the Mustang 50th Anniversary in Vegas. Since I was already heading to Vegas, only 120 miles from the new owner's house, I offered to deliver the car to the new owner. We came to an agreement to have me deliver the car to Vegas for the event & he will be joining us on Saturday in Vegas to meet other people crazy enough to own these things, yes they belong in a mental hospital. He & his wife will drive the car to its new home on Sunday Eve.

This will make this guy the third owner of the car & the second owner to buy the car sight unseen. I also bought it sight unseen 10 years ago for my 30th. He made his decision off of the info in the CL ad & the 45 min conversation we had on the phone. Great guy with some great toys. Even though he's got some serious HP in other toys, he was thrilled to receive his new addition. We'll post many pics of the car in the Ford Mustang Garage later this week. It's unbelievable how many people own SVOs in their garages that don't show up to these events. Hopefully there will be some good coverage from some of the standard mags.

I had the dealership sign off on the installation of the anchor suggestion on my '82 GT many years ago. I removed the T-top securing belts in the hatch and used one of the bolting points for the anchor. My son (toddler at the time, 16 now) remembers riding in it a couple of times (before it broke and sat for 11 years). But hey, to each their own, it's your choice.

I glad you found a buyer for your car who sounds like he will take very good care of it. I wish I had more room...and more cashola!
