I heard back from Scott, and the NW Mustang group appears to be settling for hotel rooms rather than opt for renting a second house. I am posting a link for those who want to attend but need to arrange hotel rooms. An alternative would be if you choose to take on the task of renting a house on your own, and find people to share it with you here. I can make the contact info available if there is any interest. We are two away from having 20 cars for Vegas. We need 20 paid MCA entries by 12/31/2013 for the preferred parking.

Is anyone driving their SVO down from the Seattle area. I would really like to make this trip. But, looks like I have to make up my mind pretty soon.

There are several mustangs driving down from the Seattle area. I believe there are 2-4 SVOs at this time. I'm planning on driving the 88.

Vince, are you entering 1 car or 2? If Diana is bringing the Cobra, is that car entered and info sent to Scott Robinson for the "MORE" reserved entry area? This needs to be done by 12/31 for anyone to get the preferred parking near the entrance by our tent. This goes for everyone else as well. Scott needs your entry info THIS WEEK or you will be hoofing it from whatever undetermined parking spot they stick you with. Remember the pissing contest that the other SVO club had at Barber in Birmingham at the 45'th because of lack of communication/planning? That is what we are trying to avoid.

Today 12/23/2013 we have surpassed the 20 cars required to be registered for the Las Vegas event and the MORE program. We will have reserved parking spots right out front, near the entry/exit gates. You must be registered with MCA and provide your contact info (Name, address, phone number, and Email address) to Scott by 12/31/2013 to participate in the MORE program. If there is enough demand for a second rental house, we would need 8 to 10 or more to get together and have one of you contact the property manager. You could possibly rent the house for Wednesday through Saturday or Sunday, if it is still available. I can provide further info on demand.

Subpay, maybe Scott or one of us can find a buyer of that entry for you.

I just got a cheap room at the Riveria. LOTS of casino cheap rooms available in Vegas. No idea how far that is from "SVOCOP Central" or LVMS though.

    Two maps for reference.

    A: McCarran Airport
    B: Mandalay Bay (registration)
    C: Riviera
D: The most opulent SVOCOP Estate and miniature giraffe conservancy
    E: Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Sorry for the delay Meotschh. We will just be spectators in a rented GT (hopefuly) but I'd still like to park with you guys. I never did get a "spreadsheet" to fill out so I'm just emailing info to Scott Robinson at "Mustangs Northwest Regional Director". I that OK or do I need to do more?

    Chris,
Are you going to register for the show with the rental? The only way you can park with the group is to be a registered attendee for the event.

As of 12/27/2013 We now have 28 cars registered, and possibly 5-6 yet to register before 12/31/2013. There may be an extra entry or two for someone attending too late tor the MORE program to take over if they didn't register in time.

I have sat on the fence about deciding to go or not. Three various reasons have made my mind up not to go (although I really wanted to go).

    1. Time of year to take a car out of Alberta for a road trip. We could have 70* or -40*!
    2. I have owned the car since July and have had to bypass the heater core in September due to a faulty one, so no heat (see #1)
    3. My wife has no interest in cars right now. Even Vegas couldn't entice her (and read #1 above). We usually family vacation to a warm destination in the spring as well so I know where her vote would go if there was only one choice. I don't blame her.

Being a new guy to the Forum, the car, the culture and the people; this would be a little intimidating for a first meet-up too. I'd love to meet up at a NW/western event in the future. Maybe Jason in Lethbridge and I could travel together. We'll see. Hope you all have a fantastic time! I hope a ton of SVO's and other early Foxes show up!
