Hey i'm wondering how wide of a tire i can use on my 86 svo with 17in cobra wheels (99-04 backspacing). I'm going to be ordering drag radials soon and i'm trying to see how wide i can go without spacers. I still have my quad rear shocks in too.
Hey i'm wondering how wide of a tire i can use on my 86 svo with 17in cobra wheels (99-04 backspacing). I'm going to be ordering drag radials soon and i'm trying to see how wide i can go without spacers. I still have my quad rear shocks in too.
The 99-04 wheels actually have less backspacing (+35mm offset) than the stock SVO wheels (+43mm), so they are going to set closer to the fender even without wheel spacers.
Bad choices make great stories....!
With mach 1 wheels I have the factory size, 245/45/17 and I rolled the rear lips up a little bit and they will rub the bolt at the front of the wheel opening on the front fender for the front fascia. I replaced the factory bolt with a button head bolt and no more rub.
