Most people bypass that plug with a real (like 4 gauge) wire. The plug is a fire hazard!!!

Be sure to put a fuse (200A) in that 4ga wire.

It was a new alternator harness that was made by Pat-in-LA (ie Pat P, ie SVOCO "Pat"). Sold through Forced4 Motorsports until their demise. Used to replace (bypass) the less-than-adequate stock alternator wiring.

The harness included an in-line fuse, oversized main power wire and new wires for the field and stator connections to the back of the stock 1G alternator. I have one on my 1C. Really stout piece.

I thought they may still be available, but not seeing them anywhere in the net.....

After installing the 4 gauge wire with the fuse that goes from the alternator and then to the relay ,what do you just cut the black and orange wire before the melted connector and not use it anymore?
