    Plug Wires

I know these have been routed incorrectly but are too short to re-route. Can anyone recommend a good set?
    Thanks! 20141214_190224.jpg

Stick with Motorcraft for all the ignition components. Cap, rotor, wires etc.

These would be okay from Late Model Restoration? Not a bad price?

I buy the parts store brand for 87 up 4cy that are guaranteed for two years. Usually I need plugs by then and get a new set because they always come apart when changing them anyway. By the way the Motorcraft ones I have used didn't last any longer . I do use the Mototcraft plugs and have seen a difference there.

I think this adage is becoming untrue.

I just had a Motorcraft ignition rotor fall apart inside the dizzy. The two metal contacts came apart from where they are glued together.

I think some of these parts are simply NOS and off-the-shelf, creating issues like old glue, brittle plastic, etc.

Anyone had any luck making their own?? Most of the parts store ones don't last and Magnacore's, although they seem to last forever, are not the right length and are hard to route cleanly.

Attempting the wires today or tomorrow. Looks like the intercooler has to come off huh? Might as well do the plugs while I'm there too. LOL

Much easier to remove the charge cooler first. Then make sure the hose connections are secure when re-installing it.

My svo came with MSD wires, the fat 8.8 I believe. Have always run the same on my other fox 5.0 cars. It's a very good wire that doesn't pull apart. Helps to lube boots up well also.

I have never had good luck with the msd wires but absolutely love their cap and rotor. They seem to last longer than any brand, including the motorcraft and I like the red color. I am also with Chalky on the Magnecore wires, they work great but could be an inch or two longer.
