Bad choices make great stories....!
Who else is going? Cindy and I want to make it this year
I'll start working on lodging if there's enough folks interested.
Bad choices make great stories....!
I am planning to make it again this year! Maybe early enough for the golf tournament too on Tues
Count us for 2.5 (Me, Lisa, & Gabby).
We should get lodging nailed down soon. Critical points when searching on the lodging:
- Ask if the access to the house is paved the whole way.
- Parking, can we park trucks & trailers with no issues?
- Garage parking is a plus.
- Bathrooms, the wives will want them.
- Bedrooms, are there enough?
- Location, as long as we are no more than about 45min from the Thunder Dome.
- Call executive lodging & ask if they can cut us a break for repeat business, they have in the past.
I can lend some assistance, but I do not have the time to be the main POC to set the house up this year.
There's nothing more to see here, now move along...
We're starting to prepare for Sturgis. We're taking Stacey's 1986 1D this year. This is what it looks like today.

I'll have to get my ass in gear getting the 88 drivable for the track stuff.
I'm officially SVO-less again.

I've got one or two for sale, you've still got time to pick one up before Sturgis!
My 1C daily driver is running great these days!
Such a pity you don't like red.I'm officially SVO-less again.

Dave,
Looks like you've got rid of all the unnecessary weight in preparation for the autocross, getting serious! I need to start driving mine before it is time to go to see if there are any surprises this year, parked it in mom's garage this spring and there it sits.
Tom
This year we're bringing Stacey's car, it just needed a thorough cleaning after 5 or 6 seasons of autocrossing.
The interior is going back in before Sturgis.
Well, the car is coming along for Sturgis. Today I got to drive Stacey's SVO with the new tires, Bridgestone RE-71Rs, and it handled great! Those tires are awesome handling tires. Not sure about the durability, but the handling was supurb. The interior is back in, oil and transmission fluid changed; rebuilt alternator and starter installed. Still need to service the cooling system and a few other odds and ends. How is everybody else doing? What projects are we going to have for Sturgis this year?
Oh, we've done some shopping too...

Did you have them bench test the starter before you took it home? LOL
SLOW, very SLOW.
I'm making progress but I haven't gotten to the point I can attempt to start the car yet. Maybe by the weekend?
You need to pickup some of the Lays "Southern Biscuits & Gravy" chips. Just tried them last night, damn good idea!

I have the MM k-frame and tubular a-arms on my red car. Very easy access to the starter motor with nothing is in the way and there's no sharp edges either! When I installed it yesterday, I kept thinking how much easier it was to install on a SVO than a 5.4L F150!
