    Cosworth wing...does it work?

Looking at those AI cars with the huge wings...I'm wondering how well those Cosworth RS wings work...you know...the really big version of the SVO wing? Then compare that to the AI cars. It seems obvious to me that the AI car wings would put down a lot of downforce but I wonder how the Cosworth wings would compare. Basically those and the SVO bi-wing are upside down airplane looking wings converting lift to downforce.

You forgot to mention the drag of the wing design and your horsepower in your question. How many HP are those folks running the wings in question making?

I figure those AI cars are making 350-400. Even in Autox at speeds in the 60MPH range cars run huge wings.

According to the literature, the G-stream wing, which all the AI and World Challenge guys are using, makes 600 lbs of downforce at 100 mph. I have no such information about the Cosworth wing, but it looks like it'll carry a beer rather well.
Enough of that, it was giving me a headache.

And, let me say this, when we had the wing on our car and the splitter, it was awesome. Aero is cool.

So you think that huge AI style wing was helping the Oldsmobile Trofeo I saw yesterday at Menards? Besides being able to carry drywall that is?
