    Thermostat housing

I need one. Mine is pretty rusty. I've looked on Ebay and those don't look right. Are these specific to our cars, or have I just not seen the right one? O'Reilly says not available?

Here's what is on my 84. I 'think' they are pretty common and can be found on ebay from time to time.

I think the lower one has a longer bypass tube attached. The shorter tube one (upper) looks more correct compared to stock.

Worst case you'd need to adjust the length of the curved hose from the thermostat bypass outlet to the coolant tube.

    Hi brsvo,

I used the Four Seasons 84896 last year, on my 85.5 and it has worked perfectly since.

Glad to hear that as I got the other brand from my local parts house and then returned it because it did not line up even with the gasket provided. Now I ordered the 4 seasons from RockAuto.

My 4 seasons came today and it was the same as the one I got locally. On Rockauto's site the 4 seasons looked different than the Motorad but its the same? So does yours have the mex in a little square on the housing.
