Very cool!!! How much work/maintenance has been done on the car to keep it going that far?
Barrett Jackson is coming up in a few weeks. Unfortunately, there's sufficient evidence elsewhere the car is not low mile$.
A friend bought the car in 1988 from a used lot in Tucson. His wife daily drove it until selling to another friend in 2000 with 120K miles. I bought it from that friend in 2004 with 160K miles. To keep it running, I do an oil change at 10K intervals, put a couple clutches in, driveshaft u-joints (twice), and all the usual stuff like t-stat, radiator, hoses, batteries. I replaced the head gasket earlier this year at 295K miles. At some point in the '90s, the car was repainted and the clear has been flaking off for a long time. Everything needs to be restored yet it drives great and is reliable and fun. Honestly, I think it does well because it gets driven so much.
300k is very impressive, congrats!

Congrats and Happy New Year from dad and I!
Probably a lot of truth to that. Plus the fact that you keep an eye on things and maintain it regularly.
You are the poster child for long running SVOs in spite of so many people complaining about how hard they are to keep running. Onward to another 100K and my 84 might hit it's first 100K in 2018!
