I may have to throw in the towel on this year. I just found my upper torque box is torn up.

Bruce sounds like a reason to get a torque arm
Or repair and go IRS? Would the sub frame of an IRS help avoid this in the future? I will try to get pics, not a contortionist though. I had a feeling I shouldn't have put in all that sound deadening material.
Bring it all to Sturgis. I've got this "ultimate set of tools. We can fix it."

You do have that sweet new Tig welder don't you!
Here are some pictures. Hard to see but the floor and the box bracket.Crack.jpgcrack 2.jpgcrack 3.jpg
Yes I do, although from photos below, this would be beyond my welding acumen. If you want to bring your car to Minneapolis, you’re certainly welcome to use it. Or I could bring the welder to your place on my next trip to Milwaukee. I was planning a stop-by-and-say-hello anyway. But I’m thinking you’re going to have to cut out that whole section and weld in a new piece.
If that’s not an option, you’re more than welcome to co-drive with me again.

I knew you would say that but I can't bring myself to abuse your car anymore than I already have. Thanks though it was fun. I have been running the poor mans 3 link and might just go to the other side. Don't know if I should autocross it that way though. Could drive it for other events if nothing else.

Exactly No uppers needed with a torque arm
So I would have to do no body work on that area at all? My big concern with a torque arm was ground clearance on the street.
4 hours of work & some welding required.
There's nothing more to see here, now move along...
Bring a welder and we'll do it in Sturgis.
